David's drawings often present the viewer with an unexpected view of a familiar scene.

"I am especially interested in the way we see the world around us and the way this is conveyed with two-dimensional media.  Many of my drawings explore this through combining views to right and left, and up and down, within the same drawing."

David works mainly in pastel and charcoal, ink and watercolour, and a combination of these media.
